T-Mobile Scam

February 22, 2016 in smart phone

Binge On is the current scam from T-Mobile.  Everyone on T-Mobile will by default have certain video streams compressed.  Its been widely criticized for violating Net Neutrality.  I just don't like the fact that T-Mobile is compressing any of my video streams for any reason.  I paid for unlimited data so I should get unlimited data from ALL my web sites ... without compression!

Fortunately, I got a lovely email from T-Mobile the other day showing how to find out one's current Binge On status, and how to enable or disable the service.

  • To check your setting, dial #264#
  • Turn off, dial #263#
  • Turn on, dial #266#

If you disable Binge On, you will get the following message on your iDrone.

Success!
